چکیده
Corrosion morphology is a key factor that influences the reliability and service life of structure. As most structures under stress corrosion, there great need to understand effect on formation conditions different morphologies. This paper introduces numerical method simulate evolution surface The results indicate corroded will become rougher sharper with an increase in stress, as consequence, corrosion transfer from flatter pit then crevice. critical values for morphologies (crevice, pit, surface) were captured. Among three morphologies, maintain fixed shape, also known stable morphology. exceeds value, crevices are generated, becomes unstable. On basis simulation results, influence structure was evaluated. velocity rough flat surface, this reduces more significantly. With rise applied acceleration presents quadratically increasing relationship stress.

Current-induced stabilization of surface morphology in stressed solids.
We examine the surface morphological evolution of a conducting crystalline solid under the simultaneous action of an electric field and mechanical stress based on a fully nonlinear model and combining linear stability theory with self-consistent dynamical simulations. We demonstrate that electric current, through surface electromigration, can stabilize the surface morphology of the stressed sol...

We study incremental wave propagation for what is seemingly the simplest boundary value problem, namely that constitued by the plane interface of a semi-infinite solid. With a view to model loaded elastomers and soft tissues, we focus on incompressible solids, subjected to large homogeneous static deformations. The resulting strain-induced anisotropy complicates matters for the incremental boun...

We demonstrate how to derive morphological information from micrographs, i.e., grey-level images, of polymeric foams. The segmentation of the images is performed by applying a pulse-coupled neural network. This processing generates blobs of the foams walls/struts and voids, respectively. The contours of the blobs and their corresponding points form the input to a constrained Delaunay tessellati...
